Khoj Kolkata Autumn Residency supported & hosted by Bachhawat Foundation at Badu, West Bengal.
Indian artists will be provided round trip 2-tier A/C train fare from anywhere in India. Overseas artists will have to make their own travel arrangements. The residency will provide accommodation and full board, along with shared studio facilities. A working grant of Rs.10,000.00 will be provided to each resident artist. Selected artists will have to address a curatorial guideline that will be determined by Khoj Kolkata.
The residency will culminate in an exhibition/display/open studio.
Duration of Residency: 4 weeks (November 2014)
Eligibility & Application Deadline:
1. Artists must be under the age of 40.
2. Two artists will be selected from the GenNext show organized by Aakriti Art Galley (see link: http://www.aakritiartgallery.com/cfagn5.php )
3. Two artists will be selected from an open application which should be sent to khojkolkata@gmail.com
4. Deadline for applications is 15th July 2014.
Selection Criteria:
Stress will be laid on contemporary experimental practices.
